Georgiy Balyuk

Georgiy Balyuk was born in Ukraine on July 22, 1999, and moved to the United States with his family when he was three. Growing up in the suburbs north of Chicago, he now lives in Canton, Georgia. He is nearing his second anniversary as a software engineer at State Farm. This role allows him to engage deeply with his interests in cloud scaling technologies, artificial intelligence, and neural networks.

Georgiy is advancing his education at DePaul University in Chicago, pursuing a Master’s in software development. His consistent academic excellence has placed him on the Dean's Board multiple times, and he is expected to complete his degree in the fall of 2025.

Before his tenure at State Farm, Georgiy Balyuk was employed at Fiserv Inc. in Alpharetta, Georgia, from August 2021 to April 2023. His role there focused on developing scalable Java/Spring applications adhering to micro-service architecture patterns, incorporating best coding practices within a CI/CD environment. His projects primarily centered around automation, enhancing high-scale pipelines, and facilitating rapid cloud deployment.

Since April 2023, Georgiy has worked at State Farm in Sandy Springs, Georgia. In this capacity, he designs and develops advanced AWS architecture solutions to improve system performance and scalability. His notable achievements include creating an internal application monitoring platform that has significantly enhanced system reliability and optimized operational workflows. He collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to drive innovative cloud solutions that boost efficiency and reduce costs.

Georgiy holds an Oracle Java SE 8 (OCA) certification, underscoring his proficiency in Java programming fundamentals, including object-oriented principles, core syntax, and essential APIs such as collections and streams. This certification highlights his skills in managing modular applications, exception handling, and functional programming.

Beyond his technical responsibilities, Georgiy has led several significant programming projects, including developing a car rental service website and a restaurant data management system. He also co-developed an internal configuration adapter that integrates different platforms.

In his personal life, Georgiy Balyuk enjoys traveling, particularly appreciating the cultural and culinary scenes of Savannah, Georgia, and Houston. He is also an avid follower of the financial markets, often providing investment advice to friends and family. Additionally, he spends quality time with his Samoyed, enjoys outdoor activities, and is interested in film, television, and collecting Pokémon cards.

He exemplifies a commitment to continuous learning and growth through his dedication to his professional endeavors and personal interests, balancing his career advancements with a rich personal life.
